About The Position

The Digital Press Operator is responsible for operating a Ricoh Pro 9200 Digital Press to produce high-quality direct mail products and various print jobs. This role involves ensuring that all printing tasks meet strict quality control measures and deadlines while performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on the equipment. The operator must be detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience running digital presses in a time-sensitive printing and production environment is preferred.
• Traditional press room experience is a plus.
• Good communication and comprehension skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
• Mechanically inclined with problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented and team-oriented.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press for black and white and/or four-color print jobs.
• Stock machine, troubleshoot, and perform light maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Monitor press operations and make necessary adjustments to meet job specifications.
• Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications and external defects.
• Follow strict quality control measures and pay close attention to detail.
• Meet schedules and tight deadlines while ensuring quality work.
• Perform light bindery duties as needed.
• Lift and load paper stock into machines and remove printed product from machine.
• Operate pallet jacks to transport paper stock to staging areas as needed.
• Perform plate processing and developing, and maintain the plate processor.
• Output digital proofs and perform other duties as assigned.
