About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented digital press operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating digital presses in a fast-paced printing environment, with strong mechanical aptitude, computer literacy, and a commitment to quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED prefered
1–3 years of experience in a pressroom, prepress, or bindery operator role within a printing environment.
Strong mechanical skills and the ability to follow detailed work instructions.
Excellent computer skills and basic math proficiency; ability to read a ruler and interpret job specifications.
Keen attention to detail; able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Ability to see and monitor color accurately.
Effective communication skills for teamwork and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Operate a full web screen digital press, ensuring efficient and high-quality output.
Conduct daily startup, calibration, cleaning, and preventative maintenance.
Load and unload print media, handling materials safely and efficiently.
Process RIP files using proprietary printer software.
Monitor color consistency, making adjustments and recalibrating as needed to meet customer specifications.
Maintain accurate logs for ink, paper, production, maintenance, and repairs.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical issues, collaborating with service technicians and supervisors when necessary.
Communicate clearly with prepress, pressroom, and support teams to ensure smooth workflow.
