About The Position

ABOUT THE ROLE The Digital Press Operator runs one or more digital presses, including Ricoh and HP presses. You’ll interpret production work orders, prepare files for printing, troubleshoot equipment, and collaborate with other departments to ensure high-quality, on-time print projects. Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of experience in digital printing.
  • Experience performing basic printing equipment troubleshooting and maintenance, including changing paper and toner, clearing jams, and following on-screen instructions to bring equipment back to operational standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Ricoh press preferred.
  • May be required to complete and pass Public Trust Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Operates a digital press, which includes the Ricoh presses and the HP press.
  • Operates and maintains laser etching/engraving equipment in accordance with job specifications and safety standards.
  • Prepares digital files for laser etching, ensuring proper formatting, resolution, and alignment with substrate requirements.
  • Conduct test engravings to verify quality and make necessary adjustments before running full production.
  • Performs regular cleaning, calibration, and preventative maintenance on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Reviews and interprets production work orders.
  • Communicates with other departments and staff members to gather any additional information needed to complete the job.
  • Troubleshoots problems and takes corrective action, makes repairs, and notifies supervisor.
  • Communicates information to other shift operators.
  • Works with safety in mind at all times and reports any potential unsafe circumstances.
  • Is open and willing to work in other departments if requested.
  • Does other duties as assigned.
