About The Position

Nosco is looking for Digital Press Operator – FlexPack on second or third shift at our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility. As an employee owner in this position, you will produce printed roll labels to meet on time delivery, high quality expectations, and in accordance with all customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements

  • Preferably +2 years of digital press experience or other technical skills operating machinery.
  • Experience with basic Quality systems and documentation.
  • Flexibility to work any shift and Overtime. Work in a fast-paced environment with ability to deal with change.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Good math and ruler skills, including conversion from metric to inches and fractions to inches.
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, work at a computer for extended periods of time, and have manual dexterity for computer work; long periods of concentration; speaking, hearing and vision are also essentials to performing job functions.

  • The ability to understand defects that may be encountered in the manufacturing of pressure sensitive labels.
  • Mechanical aptitude for both trouble shooting and for maintaining the equipment to manufacturer specifications.
  • Ability to train others following TWI methods.
  • A great attitude and attendance with the willingness to work overtime on short notice.
  • The ability to make quality decisions under production pressure settings.
  • Apply lean principals learned to your everyday work. Identify waste in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate an HP label press per SOPs, work instructions, and control riders.
  • Actively monitor production efficiency and quality while completing all documentation and reporting accurately.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems as it pertains to equipment and set up. Perform testing as required and understands what corrective actions could be necessary to achieve passing results.
  • Assist in minimizing the scope of remakes (identifying problems in a timely fashion and effectively communicating with downstream operators).
  • Perform clean-up/maintenance tasks in accordance with company SOP.
  • Perform and sustain a high rate of productivity. Meet expectations for set up time and run speeds as established by the department leads.
