To achieve this mission, we are transforming from a storied daily newspaper into a modern media company. This transformation involves a diverse team of reporters, product experts, video/audio specialists, and digital professionals who deliver content across various creative platforms, industries, and borders. We are seeking a Digital Platforms Producer to join our platforms team, focusing on the day-to-day execution of our strategy across AJC.com, the AJC mobile app, and other platforms. In this role, the producer will execute platform strategies under the guidance of the Platforms Editor and Platforms Lead Producer. Responsibilities include managing our platforms by crafting headlines, creating visual packages, and ensuring that our top news is presented effectively to drive audience engagement. The producer will work on various projects aimed at extending reach and increasing engagement, utilizing metrics-driven audience measures to inform their strategies. While this position allows for hybrid work, it is based in metro Atlanta, and the producer is expected to be onsite regularly. Key tasks include contributing to and delivering daily coverage plans, ensuring seamless hand-offs between shifts, making suggestions for audience engagement improvements, and prioritizing breaking news placement. The producer will also seek innovative storytelling methods and suggest new packages to enhance our platforms. This role is crucial in showcasing our highest-value content and growing audience engagement across all products.
