Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Digital Payload Responsible Systems Engineer to join our team on the SDA program portfolio in Littleton, CO ! In this role you will support the lead Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) on crypto, timing, and digital communication units on the payload subsystem. It will also involve making use of innovative ideas to accelerate delivery of an integrated payload product, in a fixed-priced contract environment.

Requirements

  • Experience with digital communication hardware
  • Experience with RF Communication Systems
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD SECRET Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education.
  • Experience in Networking routing/traffic management and troubleshooting
  • Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) and/or Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) certification (or equivalent)
  • Systems engineering experience including generation and derivation of requirements
  • Experience with Systems Integration and Verification
  • Hardware and/or software troubleshooting experience
  • Previous Space Vehicle and/or Payload Assembly Test & Launch (ATLO) experience
  • Ability to work support off-shifts and weekends as needed.
  • Experience supporting or leading Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with management, and peers
  • Experience/Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Active secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Supplier oversight, including Failure Review Board (FRB) support and guidance, acceptance of hardware, up to certification of hardware
  • Support the integrated subsystem through Assembly Test & Launch (ATLO) campaigns
  • Support Space Vehicle (SV) integrated test activities, including first time operations and environmental testing
