About The Position

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING While working under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Digital Press Operator will be a key member of our digital department. This position will set up and operate our Canon digital printing press. Produce high quality products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner with attentiveness to customer specifications, delivery requirements, and production targets. WE’D BE JAZZED IF YOU HAVE SOME OF THE FOLLOWING TRAITS A mechanical aptitude. Ability to work 3rd Shift 11pm-7am Experience with Canon Color, Xerox Color, or HP Color Ink Jet preferred. We are willing to train. Drive and high energy, combined with a commitment to accountability and integrity. Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma.
  • A mechanical aptitude.
  • Willingness and ability to work 3rd shift hours (11:30 PM–8:00 AM, Monday through Friday).
  • Drive and high energy, combined with a commitment to accountability and integrity.
  • Must be able to lift and move materials weighing 25–30 pounds, as part of routine pressroom duties.
  • Standing, bending, and reaching may be required for extended periods during press operation.
  • Adaptability is a key asset for excelling in our fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
  • Ability to use a computerized system to record operations.
  • Ability to operate and trouble-shoot digital press machines.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in print industry preferred but willing to train.
  • Experience with Canon Color, Xerox Color, or HP Color Ink Jet preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and troubleshoot digital press.
  • Perform color matching of supplied materials.
  • Interpret, document, and communicate diagnostic feedback from the equipment and act upon information to resolve production or maintenance issues.
  • Ability to read and understand job tickets.
  • Complete the necessary paperwork required for each job.
  • Communicate effectively with prepress, customer service and management.
  • Maintains all necessary equipment and performs monthly inventory on departmental items.
  • Maintains the highest level of safety and productivity with minimal waste.
  • Ensure compliance to safety guidelines, work rules and housekeeping policies.
