About The Position

Role: Partner with Retail Sales and Loan/Deposit Operations to provide expertise around the digital experience for members. Support and assist Loan Officers and Member Support Specialists with online applications by completing back-office and time-sensitive requests. Utilize your knowledge of CUA products, services, and operations to assist members with their financial transaction requests through digital channels.   Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Interview loan and membership applicants to determine needs and assess financial condition. Identify sales and service opportunities; develop leads and sell all Credit Union products through direct solicitation methods. Cross sell existing members and increase conversion rates with based on data analytics and next best product. Serve as a subject matter expert on Credit Union products, services, policies, and procedures. Provide high-quality service to members and prospective members, including handling new member applications, responding to inquiries, and assisting Member Support Specialists. Track sales and document solicitation efforts. Gather required new account information. Assist with loan document preparation, funding, and exporting. Collaborate with Digital team to improve the department’s operating methods and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employees shall be trained annually, demonstrate an understanding of and follow the requirements of the BSA/AML Compliance Program as it specifically relates to their job.

Requirements

  • Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience. Must have a minimum of 6 months as Service Specialist.
  • Education: A high school education or GED.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Other Skills: Good phone communication skills including excellent projection and listening skills. Have exceptional organizational skills. Have good clerical skills including ability to operate a 10 key calculator and computer keyboard. Must have basic P.C. skills. Punctual, mentally alert, professional in appearance and manner. Ability to greet the public and communicate in a friendly and tactful manner.
  • Eligible for hybrid work from home with manager approval.
