About The Position

WKRG-TV News 5 is currently accepting applications for Digital Media Intern (Remote) [Fall 2025]. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn from the WKRG Digital Content Team, gaining valuable experience in writing, researching, and social media content creation. Interns will also develop visual communication skills by selecting and designing graphics for WKRG.com articles. This experience is designed to significantly strengthen candidates for full-time positions upon graduation.

Requirements

• Must be a student seeking academic credit for the internship.
• Strong writing skills and self-motivation are essential.
• Basic understanding of AP style and standards for text articles and broadcast scripts.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with video editing software like Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro.
• Familiarity with capturing video and sound on a phone or camera.

Responsibilities

• Work with the WKRG Digital Content Team to learn and gain experience.
• Write and research content for digital platforms.
