The Systems Engineering Task Lead at Peraton is responsible for leading a task order within the Cyber Mission business unit, providing technical leadership and guidance in systems engineering and architecture processes. This role involves managing both Peraton employees and subcontractors, ensuring mission outcomes are achieved while meeting cost, schedule, and performance goals. The position requires a strong background in systems engineering, technical task management, and personnel management, along with the ability to interact with government leadership.

  • Lead a task order and manage Peraton employees and subcontractor personnel assigned to a specific mission domain area.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to support the application of System Engineering and Architecture (SE&A) processes and tools.
  • Determine candidates for employment/termination, conduct performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff.
  • Resolve personnel issues related to time, attendance, or policies.
  • Interact with government leadership for staffing, personnel, and financial concerns.
  • Report Technical Task Order status on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Update Technical Task Order Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and brief accomplishments to program personnel monthly.
  • Conduct financial analysis on Technical Task Order monthly utilizing provided program financial reports.
  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related discipline plus at least 20 years of systems engineering experience.
  • Three or more years of experience in a technical leadership role or program management experience.
  • Previous experience with technical task management including task development, customer/stakeholder relationship building, cost & schedule management, and staffing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience applying a systematic, metrics-based process to evaluate a project's technology maturity.
  • Ten years of experience supporting programs and projects within the MPO customer.
  • Related certifications such as PMP, CSEP, ESEP.
