The Digital Media and Web Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Education Innovation's Operations (EI Operations) Marketing and Communications Team at Northeastern University. This position is responsible for the creation, updating, tracking, and measurement of EI's websites, which are essential for driving strategic decisions regarding the overall brand of the office and the various units it supports. Reporting directly to the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications, the Digital Media and Web Manager will oversee content creation and provide maintenance support for websites and intranets within the EI portfolio, as well as manage social media platforms. This role requires close collaboration with leadership across the EI division to advance each office's strategic goals. The Web Manager will work alongside the EI Operations team and, when necessary, with the central Northeastern University Marketing and Communications team to maintain standards and guidelines for digital content, ensuring that software updates are effectively managed. In this position, the Digital Media and Web Manager will lead the development and implementation of website plans, ensuring that messaging is effective and consistent across all sites. The role involves developing and implementing web strategies and digital content that promote the brand and increase awareness, including search engine optimization (SEO) efforts. The manager will also create and implement a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework for web launches and overall site goals, leading the execution of websites and evaluating their effectiveness. Collaboration with Northeastern's central and regional marketing teams is essential to create cohesive web projects that support in-network mobility and global learning initiatives. Additionally, the manager will work with EI departments to engage under-represented learners in global opportunities through EI web platforms. The Digital Media and Web Manager will track ongoing web projects, provide status reports, and assess the effectiveness of efforts aimed at normalizing and increasing demand for EI opportunities, as well as achieving other stated goals of EI programs. This role includes developing and overseeing the execution of all web projects for EI from inception to completion, managing vendor relationships, and serving as a liaison between EI offices, IT, vendors, and central marketing to support website initiatives. Training will also be provided to EI offices to assist them in managing their websites, including updating event calendars, blogs, and simple content. Ensuring alignment of EI websites with all other departmental sites and monitoring web analytics to advise on improvements are also key responsibilities. The manager will work closely with Marketing and Communications colleagues in EI Operations to ensure compliance with Northeastern's brand alignment on all EI sites, maintaining cohesive design, layout, and content throughout.
