Des Moines Public Schools is seeking qualified applicants for the 26-27 school year to serve as a Digital Learning Teacher, starting in August 2026. Any elementary endorsed applicant (K-6) with a comfort and interest in teaching students essential technology skills is encouraged to apply. The Digital Learning Teacher serves as a key instructional leader in advancing digital literacy and innovative learning across the district. This role provides direct instruction to students in digital literacy skills, ensuring alignment with and support for the DMPS-wide digital literacy curriculum. The educator collaborates closely with classroom teachers to co-plan and co-teach lessons that integrate technology in pedagogically sound ways, fostering personalized and blended learning experiences. The Digital Learning Teacher also partners with the Library & Digital Learning Associate and DMPS technology department to address building-level technology needs that support instruction, ensuring a seamless and effective digital learning environment.
