The Digital Learning Executive (DLE) is a key role within the sales team, responsible for identifying and qualifying opportunities to drive technology adoption in educational institutions. This position involves collaboration with Customer Success Managers to create training plans, develop strategies for account retention, and expand existing business partnerships. The DLE will work closely with various teams to innovate and enhance digital programs, focusing on building partnerships with 2 and 4-year institutions to promote Wiley's digital solutions.

  • Identify and qualify top targets and opportunities for technology adoption.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to devise training plans for new and existing adoptions.
  • Develop strategies to retain business and expand existing accounts.
  • Build partnerships with educational institutions to drive digital courseware growth.
  • Prepare and deliver strategic sales presentations to customers, both in-person and remotely.
  • Manage a sales pipeline and assess sales opportunities using SFDC.
  • Provide regular reporting and account intelligence, updating opportunities in SFDC.
  • Conduct in-person trainings for Wiley's digital solutions.
  • Analyze territory data to improve positioning and digital opportunities.
  • Develop territory and business plans.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, preferably with a background in Higher Education.
  • Strong drive, intellectual curiosity, and desire to advance in education, even without prior sales experience.
  • Sales mindset with organization, planning, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to implement digital solutions effectively for impactful results.
  • Self-starter with strong listening skills to understand and achieve digital solutions.
  • Adaptability to navigate complex sales processes with multiple decision-makers.
  • Energetic and driven, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks.
  • Ability to establish expectations and collaborate effectively with customers.
  • Experience in sales or educational technology is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and LTI implementations.
