The Digital Integration Software Engineer at RTX Corporation is responsible for developing and supporting custom software tools to enhance operations within the manufacturing environment. This role involves collaboration with manufacturing and operations engineers to ensure effective data collection, machine IoT connectivity, and automation solutions, contributing to the advancement of Industry 4.0 initiatives.

  • Work closely with manufacturing/operations engineers to design and implement custom automation software solutions.
  • Manage existing software solutions and develop new tools for process data collection for the factory and Industry 4.0 digital integration engineering efforts.
  • Connect applicable automated equipment to our data collection network.
  • Support factory operations for daily needs and deploy updates/bug fixes.
  • Generate improvement ideas for various projects and applications.
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree required, Master's preferred (STEM) with a focus in Software, Computer, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, or Materials Science or other related field.
  • 5+ Years of relevant professional experience.
  • Prior Software experience in languages such as C#/.NET, LabView, C++, PowerShell, Java, Splunk, SQL Server, Python, VBA, JavaScript/HTML/CSS, Git Version Control, Arduino, Linux, JFrog Artifactory, web server management, etc.
  • Prior I4.0/IOT experience with tools like Ignition, Splunk, HTTP/API requests, PowerBI, Modbus/MQTT, etc.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
  • Prior Experience working within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of network configuration settings in Windows/Linux.
