DIGITAL INTAKE TECHNICIAN
About The Position
Avaneer Dental Lab is a full-service dental laboratory known for combining traditional craftsmanship with modern digital technology to support dental practices with high-quality restorative and prosthetic products. With locations in Warren, MI and Lakeland, FL, Avaneer Dental Lab successfully serves Dental practices with a wide range of dental lab solutions. The Digital Intake Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth, accurate, and timely processing of all digital case submissions received through the Sirona Connect portal. Serving as a key liaison between dental practices and internal laboratory teams, this position is responsible for reviewing incoming digital impressions, validating case information, and proactively communicating updates or requirements to clinicians. The Intake Technician ensures high-quality workflow by organizing digital files, tracking all communications, and troubleshooting file or scanning issues in collaboration with both clients and technical staff. This role supports Avaneer Dental Lab’s commitment to delivering precise, dependable restorative and prosthetic solutions by combining exceptional customer service with strong technical understanding of digital dental workflows.
Requirements
- Familiarity with dental terminology, digital impression systems, and lab workflows
- Prior experience with Sirona Connect or similar dental CAD/CAM portals (Trios, Medit, etc) preferred.
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable communicating professionally via text, calls and emails
- Excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with computers and digital file management
- Positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Nice To Haves
- Dental lab experience is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of CAD software is a plus
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage all case submissions through the Sirona Connect portal
- Review incoming digital impressions and ensure all necessary case information is complete and accurate
- Communicate with dental offices regarding case status, missing information, adjustments and delays
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless processing of cases
- Provide technical support and guidance to dental practices for Sirona case submissions
- Track and log all communications and case updates in the laboratory management system
- Maintain organization of digital files and ensure timely case turnaround
- Assist in troubleshooting scanning errors or file issues in collaboration with clinicians and technical teams.
