About The Position

The Digital Ink Chemist is responsible for generating new business and ensuring growth of existing accounts by researching and developing inkjet products.

Requirements

• Background in printing industry
• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field or equivalent experience in digital ink development or applications preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience formulating UV/LED single pass inkjet printing inks preferred.
• Previous experience in applications/operating, formulations, compliance, or technical service.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
• Self-driven, results oriented with a clear focus on high quality results.
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
• Ability to perform job according to pre-established safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical expertise in the field of inkjet printing, including new developments in processes and chemistry.
• Conduct research and development of formulations, including modifications or design changes to existing products.
• Interact with Marketing to determine project goals and perform product testing.
• Assist in the development of technical literature for products.
• Conduct research for and communicate with customers regarding specific ink applications and problems.
• Develop and optimize procedures for the manufacture and quality control of digital inks.
• Perform job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.
• Assist with other duties as directed by supervisor and potential to travel (<10%)
