About The Position

This position is responsible for ensuring customers of imaging services are greeted and assisted in a timely manner and is responsible for providing support services for all of the various imaging modalities. The incumbent will perform a variety of clerical duties including: helping manage patient flow through the department, answering telephones, exam order entry, image check out, calling of reports, assisting radiologists/technologists and ensuring medical necessity. Requirements

  • Demonstrated work experience in a comparable setting, required.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Verify identities of patients to ensure accuracy of records transferred to/from outside facilities.
  • Verify and track orders, including but not limited to; matching up images with orders, placing images in proper order, report disbursement, and preparation of call reports.
  • Assist patients as necessary.
  • Maintain knowledge of anatomy and exam types.
  • Maintain knowledge of HIPAA regulations and apply this knowledge appropriately.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in interactions with nursing, staff, and other patient care members and coworkers.
  • Assist coworkers in completing their duties to promote effective teamwork.
  • Take the initiative to solve problems including, but not limited to, equipment, maintenance, and staffing issues.
