About The Position

Are you energized by the challenge of deciding what belongs in hardware versus software? Do you enjoy defining clean, efficient interfaces between the two? We're looking for a seasoned digital design engineer to join our cellular modem team, where you'll architect and implement protocol processing hardware for next-generation wireless SoCs. You'll own the full lifecycle—from early architectural exploration and HW/SW partitioning, through RTL implementation, to silicon bring-up and lab validation. You'll collaborate closely with firmware, systems, and verification teams to deliver hardware that balances performance, flexibility, and power efficiency.

Requirements

  • BS with 3 + years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong background in digital logic design using Verilog, including timing closure in deep sub-micron processes.
  • Experience with low-power design techniques.
  • Proficiency with AMBA bus protocols (AXI, AHB) or similar on-chip NoC interconnects.
  • Proficiency with RTL simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis tools.
  • Experience designing high-performance DMA engines connected to DRAM (DDR) and/or PCIe.

Nice To Haves

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience implementing hardware for cellular MAC/RLC/PDCP, WiFi or similar data-link layer protocols.
  • Experience with HW/SW co-design and defining hardware-software interfaces.
  • Experience with network infrastructure architecture (e.g. routers, access points)
  • Experience with TCP/IP networking.
  • Knowledge of security algorithms (AES or similar encryption and integrity protection protocols).
  • Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up and lab debug.
  • Experience with architectural modeling in C/C++ or SystemC.
