In addition to publishing timely market insights, we also partner closely with our Product, Engineering, and Data Operations teams to continually enhance our datasets and develop unique tools that have a material impact on our customers’ workflows. There is no better time to join us! The Digital Graphic Designer scales the production of high-impact visual content for PitchBook’s research organization. This role involves creating interactive and communicative designs, including dashboards, list-style content, market maps, trend posts, and scrollytelling. They will also manage our Editorial website, including our main Insights landing page, dashboards, coverage area hub pages, thematic research pages, and other high-profile report landing pages. These impactful webpages and visuals help the PitchBook audiences easily understand and digest private capital market trends. The Digital Graphic Designer works closely alongside the Publishing graphic design and editing team, collaborating often with research analysts and data analysts. They deliver accurate, highly engaging visual experiences that encourage further online activity among our viewers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 4+ years of data visualization, web design and/or UX experience, with demonstrated abilities in in-house branding
  • Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite; specifically Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Proficiency with the MS Office Suite; specifically Outlook, Word, with advanced Excel capabilities
  • Experience with Flourish or other data viz tools
  • Experience with Brightspot or other WYSIWYG web design platforms
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and learn new systems and software easily
  • Experience with analyzing and creating data-driven storytelling
  • Strong written and verbal communicator
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Figma or Figjam is a plus
  • Familiarity with the financial industry is a plus
  • Ability to manage overlapping deadlines within a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Act as a steward of PitchBook’s identity, successfully working within brand guidelines while capitalizing on the full breadth of creative possibilities
  • Demonstrate a variety of aesthetic approaches across audiences and genres for custom projects
  • Demonstrate technical command of tools and capacity to handle multiple projects at a time
  • Enhance data visualization efforts by developing fresh ideas that bring PitchBook’s interactive data to life
  • Participate in recurring internal design meetings with effective, constructive feedback on a variety of projects
  • Demonstrate successful cross-collaboration with other Editorial teams; help guide complex creative strategies
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of private markets to help elevate informational storytelling
  • Conceive, design, launch, produce, and maintain high-impact editorial web pages
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested
