We develop and implement strategies and tactics to educate audiences about Zipline, tell stories that raise awareness about what we’re doing and the impact we’re having, increase acceptance of and excitement for our system, and cultivate strong ambassadors. We are passionate storytellers and make complex topics simple and understandable. Zipline is entering a new phase of growth—rapid expansion in the U.S. alongside continued global scaling. As our physical footprint grows, we’re also expanding our digital work, scaling and automating how we manage our presence on the internet, both through established approaches, and building support and delight in nascent, frontier spaces. Our team is small, highly-autonomous, low-ego and trusted to use strong judgement on building long-term belief and trust in our brand. This is a non-traditional, 1-of-1 role for someone exceptional at building things people love on the internet, especially outside of traditional social media. We are hiring for high-agency talent we can grow and empower, not a narrow set of responsibilities. You’ll be tasked with two problems, and given extreme ownership over them: Help Zipline’s communications team outperform companies 1000x our scale. Help build Zipline into an enduring, legendary brand across the internet. Done well, this will include using AI to build cutting-edge tools that automate and scale the grunt work of communications, while creating high-taste, high-visibility digital experiences that build positive associations with Zipline’s brand across the internet. This is a full-time, in-person internship with possible conversion based on performance.
