About The Position

The Digital Engineering Lead will oversee the development and implementation of digital and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) solutions for the MHS GENESIS program, which modernizes Electronic Health Records for the Department of Defense. This role involves leading technical activities, ensuring adherence to standards, and mentoring junior team members while navigating the complexities of a large-scale government project.

Requirements

  • BS Degree and 10-15 years of relevant technical architecture experience.
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain ADP2/IT2 Public Trust.
  • Past Digital Engineer / Cameo hands-on experience.
  • Deep understanding of MBSE methodologies, standards, and frameworks.
  • Broad technical knowledge in Performance, Scalability, Cloud, infrastructure, Data, database, or related areas.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members and executive leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • EHR system architecture and implementation experience.
  • Experience with large, complex government implementations.
  • Familiarity with DOD communications/customs/processes.
  • Cybersecurity implementations experience.
  • Identity and access management knowledge.
  • Familiarity with HL7 messages and integration engine.
  • Familiarity with Cerner Healthcare Products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and define digital and MBSE solutions for projects.
  • Provide leadership for design, development, integration, and sustainment support for systems.
  • Stabilize system operation and ensure suitable system performance.
  • Build and expand the Digital Engineering Group with innovative ideas and tools.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of Digital Engineering and MBSE practices across teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Ensure new technology is implemented according to project guidelines.
  • Develop, validate, and review system models using Cameo.
  • Create detailed designs of technology solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies regarding new technologies.
  • Maintain and update project documentation including procedures and specifications.
  • Present and defend designs to senior leadership.
