LMI is actively seeking a dynamic, experienced Digital Engineer with a strong background in model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to support a federal office in the Washington DC Metropolitan Area.   • Provide comprehensive MBSE, systems engineering, and programmatic support to our customer.
  • Lead the adoption and consistent application of MBSE methodologies and tools.
  • Manage the creation and governance of system models in partnership with LMI and government teams.
  • Conduct model-based and traditional Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) events.
  • Drive Digital Engineering (DE) initiatives.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPT's) and other engineering working groups to review, assess, and mature engineering artifacts.
  • Provide meeting coordination, technical expertise, and system development to assist customer decision makers.
  • Collect, synthesize, and structure data needed for analysis.
  • Identify user stories that document stakeholder requirements to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
  • Design and evaluate future state data, processes, and technology.
  • Decompose user stories and future state processes into detailed solution requirements.
  • Plan and support prototype demonstrations and implementation of adopted solutions.
  • Support user validation and high-level business case analyses for prototypes.
  • Develop briefings and papers for all levels of government agency leadership.
  • Assist in project management, performance assessment, and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in mathematics, physics, systems engineering, computer science, engineering management, or related discipline preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in process mapping, process re-engineering, and solution architecting.
  • 2-4 years' experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of systems engineering principles/processes, MBSE methodologies, and best practices such as SETR process and Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Methodology (OOSEM).
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to use spreadsheet and database software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, and collaborative team player.
  • Current U.S. Government Secret security clearance preferred; ability to obtain one is required.
