Job Summary The Digital Engagement Officer is responsible for cultivating a portfolio of leadership giving prospects, individuals that have the capacity to make a gift between $500 and $4,999. This position engages leadership giving donors through virtual outreach, digital communications, and in-person interactions, building meaningful relationships and guiding the donor journey to increase philanthropic support for the university.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Zoom, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, and email marketing software(s).
  • Must have strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate complex problem solving and creative solution implementation skills.
  • Ability to work independently under general supervision and highly motivated.
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies.
  • Demonstrate strong written communication skills.
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work across multiple cloud-based platforms in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
  • Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience required.
  • May be required to attend events outside normal working hours.
  • Occasionally work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of leadership donors to secure gifts of $500 to $4,999 through digital engagement
  • Lead and execute stewardship efforts for leadership giving donors, including engagement planning and donor acknowledgment.
  • Serve as an active and collaborative member of the Leadership and Annual Giving unit.
