About The Position

We are looking for a Digital Designer, Design Systems, to support the development, application, and evolution of design systems while delivering high-quality design work across active client engagements. This role reports to the Digital Design Director and is ideal for a designer with approximately five years of experience who is execution-focused, system-minded, and comfortable working across multiple brands and clients. You will contribute to designing system components, patterns, and documentation, and apply those systems to real-world marketing and digital projects. Through that work, you will help ensure the system remains flexible, usable, and grounded in real delivery needs. The majority of this role is hands-on design execution, with opportunities to contribute to and improve shared systems as part of that work. This role requires comfort moving between structured system work and client execution. It is neither a brand-only role nor a UI-only role.

Requirements

  • Approximately five years of professional experience in B2B digital design, preferably in an agency, consultancy, or multi-client environment
  • Strong proficiency in Figma, including component libraries, variants, auto layout, and documentation
  • Experience contributing to or working within a design system, or strong experience applying and adapting existing systems across projects
  • Ability to execute high-quality design across a range of digital and marketing deliverables
  • Comfort collaborating with developers and understanding basic front-end concepts, constraints, and handoff processes
  • Ability to take direction while also identifying opportunities to improve work and systems
  • Clear communication skills and comfort participating in client-facing conversations

Responsibilities

  • Execute against and contribute to shared design systems, including components, patterns, tokens, and templates
  • Build and maintain reusable components in Figma using best practices such as auto layout, variants, and shared libraries
  • Apply design systems across multiple client engagements to validate scalability, flexibility, and consistency
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or opportunities for improvement surfaced through real project work, and raise them with the Digital Design Director for prioritization and refinement
  • Partner with the Digital Design Director to support ongoing system improvements over time
  • Support documentation and usage guidance to help teams apply systems effectively
  • Design digital and marketing assets, including email templates, landing pages, websites, proposal templates, brand identity systems, and marketing collateral
  • Translate strategy, messaging, and requirements into clear, effective design solutions
  • Apply shared systems thoughtfully across different brands, audiences, and use cases
  • Balance consistency with adaptation based on client needs and brand context
  • Collaborate with strategists, writers, developers, and account partners throughout the delivery process
  • Participate in client presentations, reviews, and working sessions as needed
  • Work closely with the Digital Design Director to execute system priorities and direction
  • Contribute constructively to critiques and feedback sessions
  • Manage multiple workstreams while maintaining quality and attention to detail
  • Maintain a high bar for craft while working efficiently within shared frameworks
