Lightmatter is (re)inventing the future of computing with light! About this Role As an RTL Design Intern at Lightmatter, you will find yourself at the heart of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team. Depending on the task, you will gain the experience of collaborating closely with teams across the company i.e. digital/analog design, photonics, design verification, physical design, architecture.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an engineering program, preferably in an ECE, EE or Computer Engineering degree
Relevant Coursework: Completed coursework in VLSI Design or Integrated Circuits, Computer Architecture, Digital Logic Design, and Design for Testing.
RTL Knowledge: Proficiency in System Verilog coding is preferred.
Communication and Teamwork: Strong communication, presentation, and teamwork skills.
Willingness and curiosity to learn from an exciting team!

Nice To Haves

Programming Languages: Knowledge of scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, and Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

Create quality digital designs using System Verilog RTL; balancing circuit performance with data process latency, design area, and computation accuracy
Supply necessary collateral for physical design, and collaborate with the physical design team to perform performance-critical analysis
Validate Design Functionality: Work with the design verification team to ensure the design's functionality.
Work with digital design engineers to automate design process and testing using Python
