About The Position

Steampunk is seeking a highly motivated and talented Digital Production Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Digital Production Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our brand's digital presence and engaging with our audience effectively. This position requires a versatile individual with expertise in various digital communication channels, including social media, video, and podcasts. As a key member of our communications team, you will collaborate with government clients and internal team members to identify, develop, and deliver impactful communication content across various channels. This role involves understanding the unique needs of government agencies, determining the most effective communication methods, and taking ownership of the entire content creation process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in government communications or a related role.
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in video content creation, editing, and production.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Client Collaboration: Work closely with government clients to understand their communication needs and objectives. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information and insights for effective content creation.
• Content Identification: Identify key messages and content that need to be communicated internally, externally, and to stakeholders.
• Communication Strategy: Determine the best methods for communicating information, with a focus on video content as a primary means. Devise comprehensive communication strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Content Creation: Write, edit, and proofread scripts for video and written communication materials. Record, edit, and produce video content to meet the highest quality standards.
• Publishing and Marketing: Manage the end-to-end process of content publishing, ensuring timely and effective dissemination. Develop marketing strategies to enhance the visibility and impact of communication materials.
• Client Meetings: Attend in-person meetings with government clients and the delivery team in the DC Metro area. Collaborate with clients to gather feedback and ensure alignment with communication goals
• Produce Copy as Voice of the Organization: Craft persuasive and authentic copy that embodies the brand's voice and values across all digital communication channels. Develop clear and compelling messaging that resonates with the target audience, maintains brand consistency, and effectively communicates the organization's key messages and initiatives.
• Video Production and Editing: Record and edit professional-quality videos to be used for various purposes, such as promotional campaigns, product demonstrations, and company updates. Demonstrate proficiency in video editing software and ensure a polished and cohesive final product.
• Podcast Production and Editing: Lead the production and editing of professional podcasts, overseeing the entire process from conceptualization to distribution. Ensure high-quality audio and engaging content that aligns with our brand messaging.
• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and messaging requirements. Effectively communicate with various departments to align digital communication strategies with broader organizational goals.
• Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to enhance our online presence, reach target audiences, and drive audience growth. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to optimize social media performance.
