About The Position

WFRV-TV, the Nexstar CBS television affiliate in Green Bay, seeks a Digital Content Producer (DCP) to join their news team. The DCP authors accurate, engaging stories and posts that include text, photos, video, and graphics. The DCP produces live streaming and prerecorded video segments and programs for websites, social media, apps, and serialized distribution. • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media, Creative Writing, English, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
• Flexibility to work a variety of assigned shifts
• Mastery of AP writing style to author stories on all platforms
• Fluency in English required
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required for hire and must be maintained

Nice To Haves

• WordPress experience
• Adobe Premiere Pro capability
• Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) experience
• Experience with reading and interpreting digital and social media metrics

Responsibilities

• Author strong copy and write powerful headlines
• Research and gather information to produce accurate, complete, fair stories
• Produce stories in various formats for web, social media, apps, & other distribution channels
• Produce live streaming video programs
• Ensure all content produced meets company and community standards
• Monitor social media accounts and respond to viewer questions and comments
• Meet or exceed KPIs
• Assist as needed on CTV projects
• Quality control of all WFRV's digital platforms/content
• Other projects and duties as assigned
