Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum five years of experience in web content design, implementation, and support
  • Basic project management knowledge
  • Customer service orientation with understanding of marketing principles
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Collaborative team experience
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and meet business requirements
  • Familiarity with web authoring, development, publishing tools, and CMS
  • Skilled in information architecture and web usability
  • Knowledge of UI/UX principles and ability to evaluate content for usability
  • Experience with accessibility best practices and WCAG standards
  • Proficient in writing and editing for digital communications
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit internal and external communications and documents
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and strategies across departments
  • Track performance of digital content and recommend improvements
  • Ensure websites follow best practices for design and communication
  • Identify and fix website issues (broken links, spelling, formatting)
  • Develop standards, policies, and guidelines for content based on best practices
  • Support digital services team with customer service strategy and efficient processes
  • Coordinate use of the Content Management System (CMS), provide training, and content support
  • Assess business needs for digital content and manage requests for updates
  • Evaluate and recommend digital authoring, development, and publishing tools
  • Ensure all content meets accessibility requirements and uses plain language
  • Track usage and feedback for internal sites and maintain governance plans
  • Manage author/editor roles, provide training, and review content performance
  • Oversee social media responsibilities, including posting videos and creating newsletters
