About The Position
The Digital Billing Specialist at Dotdash Meredith is a crucial role responsible for the preparation, entry, and management of digital invoices generated from Operative One and the Oracle Financial System. This position requires a meticulous approach to ensure that all assigned campaigns are accurately reflected in the system, matching the insertion orders. The specialist will evaluate and finalize revenue for each order, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) policies. Additionally, the role involves making necessary revisions to invoices and ensuring timely delivery to agencies as they are generated. The position demands a high level of accuracy and efficiency in daily tasks, which include regular interactions with both internal and external customers, particularly within the Account Strategy and Revenue Operations teams. The Digital Billing team plays a vital role in ensuring that Dotdash Meredith's digital advertising business maintains accurate and timely invoicing. This team collaborates closely with various departments, including Account Strategy, Ad Operations, and Revenue Operations, to guarantee that invoices are correct and that clients have a satisfactory billing experience. The team is also responsible for executing internal controls over invoicing and revenue recognition, which are essential for maintaining the integrity of financial reporting. This position is hybrid, allowing for remote work up to two days per week, providing flexibility while ensuring that the responsibilities of the role are met effectively. The Digital Billing Specialist will be expected to contribute significantly to the team's objectives, focusing primarily on processing invoices and finalizing revenue for assigned orders, while also being open to taking on additional duties as required.
