About The Position

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a bank teller, customer service, or call center environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including strong grammar and vocabulary.
  • Strong active listening skills and ability to deal with conflict.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and bank software applications.
  • Ability to take ownership of customer inquiries and build expert-level knowledge of bank products and procedures.
  • Cooperate with and promote adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with debit card, electronic, and telephone banking inquiries.
  • Strive for a 'first call' resolution by addressing customer needs completely.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of bank products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize consumer electronic banking products to assist customers effectively.
  • Maintain professionalism when dealing with difficult customers and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Respond to after-hours inquiries and complete account research as requested by customers.
  • Stay informed about marketing initiatives and participate in product promotions and customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Provide support and information to coworkers.
