About The Position

East Cambridge Savings Bank’s Operations Division is actively recruiting for a Digital Banking Manager. Function: Under the general direction of the Vice President Digital Banking Officer, manages the daily functions of the Digital Banking Department and performs a variety of administrative duties in accordance with established Bank policies, procedures, and strategic goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent through specialized coursework and training.
  • At least 3 years operations experience and 3 or more years of management or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of deposit regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient with digital banking and cash management products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of COCC or similar core system.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical, organizational, and planning skills. Highly self-motivated and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily digital banking functions, ensuring all daily functions and assignments are completed.  Responsible for ensuring that General Ledger accounts are reconciled in a timely and accurate manner.  Provides daily coaching, direction, and guidance to staff in the completion of assignments.  Monitors progress of staff assignments; modifying and reassigning workload as needed. Conduct staff performance appraisals.
  • Responsible for assisting Bank personnel with questions and problems pertaining to any aspect of Digital Banking in accordance with the Bank’s Customer Service Standards. Ensures that staff respond to customer questions and problems in a timely manner and that a high level of quality service is provided. Resolves customer service issues not resolved at staff level. Keeps management abreast of all operational, customer service, compliance, staffing and other issues.
  • Authorizes incoming and outgoing wire transfers in accordance with Bank policy and procedures. Ensure all wires processed meet compliance guidelines. As needed, implements changes to the Banks wire processing system to ensure efficiency and coordinate system updates and upgrades.
  • Approves, the setup and maintenance of the Banks Cash Management services. Ensures compliance by confirming all required documentation is obtained, records are accurate, and customers receive a copy of the NACHA Operating Rules at onboarding and annually. 
  • Performs monthly and annual review of Cash Management activity, such as analyzing transaction volumes, recommending limit changes, and preparing customer communications. Notifies management of possible abuse, fraud, or security gaps and implements controls to prevent losses. Conducts an annual analysis of competitor Cash management fees, recommend and implement approved pricing changes.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate resolution of Regulation E Claims, in accordance with regulation, and established policies and procedures.  Monitors compromised card alerts, ensuring timely customer notification and card closeout in order to mitigate losses.
  • Responsible for coordinating updates, enhancements and replacements of the ATM/ITM fleet. Ensures ATMs/ITMs are operational, resolving outages directly with vendors or internal departments. Responsible for comparing competitor ATM fees on an annual basis, recommending and implementing approved changes.
  • Responsible for gathering and reviewing vendor management documentation. Responds to client considerations and completes Risk Assessments in a timely manner    Coordinates resolution of service disruptions by working directly with vendors. Keeps abreast of Digital Banking vendor updates and enhancements; recommending changes that should be pursued and implementing the changes. 
  • Coordinates and executes the fulfillment of Auditor requests. Monitors the result of audits, reports any exceptions to management; makes appropriate recommendations for improvements and implements approved changes. 
  • Keeps abreast of regulatory requirements and developments pertaining to all Digital Banking functions and technology. Communicates regulatory changes and results of review to management and makes recommendations based on findings. Completes quarterly compliance reviews, assists in development and expansion of compliance monitoring and implements corrective measures based on findings. Ensures Digital Banking systems meet emerging compliance and regulatory changes. Reports findings to management and assists with implementing changes as needed
  • Recommends and implements improvements to operational procedures in order to increase efficiency, makes necessary changes to the Digital Banking Procedures Manual and communicates changes to appropriate Bank employees.  Conducts Digital Banking, Cash Management and other related training as needed or assigned. 
  • Responsible for preparing Board Reports in a timely and accurate manner. Designs and enhances new existing reports, efficiently utilizing the Bank’s report writing technology 
  • Maintains knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulatory requirements.  Ensures that management and staff members complete BSA related annual training in a timely manner and that all BSA procedures are followed when applicable.  Identifies and reports compliance related issues and suspicious activity.
