This role involves making recommendations to management for system enhancements that could potentially generate revenue. The analyst is responsible for creating detailed project plans and tracking documents to monitor projects from start to finish, communicating issues related to projects to both the business unit and technical staff, and creating documentation for projects and system changes. The analyst also confers with personnel during mergers or acquisitions to ensure applications are operational and successful. They analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements. The role includes writing detailed descriptions of user needs and assisting programmers in resolving work problems. The analyst conducts studies for the development of new information systems and is involved in upgrading systems and correcting errors post-implementation. They may lead projects and collaborate on larger ones, while also complying with all applicable banking laws and regulations.
