Role summary: The (USA) Digital Asset Technician, Skilled Facilities Maintenance, is responsible for executing preventive maintenance and repair activities to ensure the optimal performance and safety of equipment and systems. This role involves diagnosing issues using technical resources, performing repairs across multiple disciplines, managing maintenance documentation, and coordinating with teams to support operational efficiency. The position requires adherence to regulatory standards and company policies while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. The technician contributes to maintaining high-quality facilities through proactive maintenance and timely response to equipment needs. About the team: The Skilled Facilities Maintenance team ensures the reliability and safety of equipment through routine preventive maintenance and timely repairs. This team applies expertise in electrical diagnostics, equipment repair, and maintenance scheduling to support operational excellence. Members collaborate closely with management and business partners to address maintenance needs, improve processes, and uphold compliance with safety and quality standards. The team values clear communication, accountability, and continuous improvement to deliver effective solutions that maintain facility functionality and support Walmart’s commitment to operational success.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in performing preventive maintenance and equipment repair to ensure operational safety and reliability.
  • Strong skills in electrical diagnostics and repairs, including the use of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs for accurate troubleshooting and repair.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to maintain compliance and safety standards.
  • Experience managing work orders, maintenance schedules, and documentation with attention to detail.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills to support team objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: automation, robotics, mechatronics, microelectronics, or related trade or 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: automation, robotics, mechatronics, microelectronics, or related trade.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
  • License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located
  • Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance following established schedules to ensure equipment safety and functionality.
  • Inspect, clean, and repair equipment or systems, documenting wear and recommending necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Diagnose equipment issues using blueprints, manuals, and diagnostic tools, performing major and minor repairs as needed.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance logs, and parts inventory while adhering to OSHA and EPA regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members and business partners to implement process improvements and meet operational goals.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and document all repair activities accurately.
