As an Automation Maintenance Technician, you’ll make an impact by… Performing major and minor repairs on equipment or systems by utilizing a wide range of craft skills (for example, electronics, networking, electrical, mechatronics, and robotics); inspecting, operating, or testing equipment or systems to diagnose problems; dismantling equipment, machines, or systems to gain access to and remove defective parts; diagnosing problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary; utilizing hand tools, power tools, hoists, and other equipment; providing prompt response to emergency calls; and documenting repair activities. Following established preventive maintenance schedules and guidelines to perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety and proper functionality of equipment or systems. Inspecting, cleaning, and repairing equipment or systems. Observing and documenting signs of wear and tear. Recommending repair needs to eliminate ongoing and future repairs. Determining replacement needs and documenting preventive maintenance activities. Managing work orders and maintenance schedules by completing and submitting required written and electronic information (for example, expense vouchers, weekly summaries, work orders, and maintenance logs) Ordering and tracking parts and replacement equipment and recording purchases and usage. Ensuring quality work is completed that complies with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensuring contractors follow Walmart quality standards, safety requirements, and meet contract requirements.

Requirements

  • 3 years' experience in any of the following trades: automation, robotics, mechatronics, microelectronics, or related trade
  • Need to have a valid Driver’s License.
  • 1-3 years of experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • General Industrial Maintenance knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
  • License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located
  • Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
