About The Position

We’re Looking for You: Are you curious, detail-oriented, and creative? Are you interested in research and discovery? In how Libraries and Marketing can work together? We are looking for a Digital Asset Management (DAM) Intern to fill a paid 10-week summer internship. The intern can be an undergraduate student, graduate student, or recent graduate (between 2024 and 2025). This position is home-based in the United States and will provide a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between academics and real-world work. We offer an orientation, professional networking opportunities, and real-world work experience. What We Can Achieve Together: The Intern will be responsible for supporting the Storytelling and Content: Digital Asset Management team, ensuring our backlog of creative assets are added to our digital asset management platform, easy to discover, compliant with standards, and ready for reuse across TNC. The intern will work with select teams in the Marketing division to migrate priority content into the DAM. During the internship, you will develop a strong understanding of metadata standards and taxonomy. You will catalogue assets, research and write photo descriptions, and collaborate with Marketing teams across TNC to assess, describe, and manage creative assets, allowing for the reuse of critical content. The Digital Asset Management Intern will also have the opportunity to test and evaluate several aspects of the DAM’s user interface and provide recommendations for future enhancements. They will be able to learn how DAMs are set up and managed to deliver the most value to the organization. The Intern will report to the Digital Asset Manager of Storytelling and Content.
