About The Position

The Digital Asset Librarian Intern will learn about the asset lifecycle and to help manage the post-production process. The intern will have hands on experience applying proper metadata and keywords to assets for searchability within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. The intern will communicate with end users for library search services, new user set ups and general help tickets. This internship is a good fit for a student who is looking to learn more about production, data management, and digital asset management.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • A transcript is required upon application.
  • Preferred majors include: Film, Video Production, Photo Production, Graphic Design, Library and Information Services, or similar.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2026.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Photo, Video, or Design workflows preferred.
  • Experience in Photo and/or Video production, including editing, post-production, and digital marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in managing the asset lifecycle from upload to sunset.
  • Applying proper keywords and metadata to digital assets
  • Maintaining the organization of Universal’s digital asset management system.
  • Providing library search services to our system users.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
