Job Description: Digital Asset & Blockchain Technology Risk Manager Role Summary This role supports the design, implementation, and execution of operational and risk management functions for financial institutions and fintechs engaging in stablecoins, tokenized assets, and blockchain-enabled financial infrastructure. The Manager will work closely with senior leaders to deliver client engagements across the digital-asset lifecycle, translating regulatory expectations and emerging technology into practical, defensible operating models. This role emphasizes strong execution, growing subject-matter depth, and increasing client-facing leadership.

Requirements

  • 7–9 years of experience in professional services, banking, fintech, or other regulated financial institutions.
  • Hands-on experience supporting digital-asset, stablecoin, or tokenized asset initiatives, including risk assessments, operating model design, or control implementation.
  • Working knowledge of major blockchain protocols and ecosystems such as Ethereum, Solana, or comparable public or permissioned networks.
  • Experience working with digital-asset custody providers or infrastructure vendors, including participation in due diligence and onboarding activities.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting risk management, compliance, internal audit, or control functions in regulated environments.
  • Solid understanding of financial services regulatory expectations and experience supporting regulatory interactions or examinations.
  • Ability to clearly communicate blockchain and digital-asset concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting banks, trust companies, or fintechs engaged in digital-asset custody, payments, or settlement activities.
  • Exposure to regulatory approval processes or supervisory remediation related to digital assets.
  • Experience implementing or supporting blockchain analytics, transaction monitoring, or digital-asset compliance tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Prior experience in a professional services or consulting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute consulting engagements supporting stablecoin issuance, tokenized deposits, custody, settlement, and blockchain-enabled payments.
  • Support clients in the design and launch of stablecoin and tokenized asset programs, including governance, reserve management, issuance/redemption processes, and disclosures.
  • Design and implement operational, enterprise, and technology risk management frameworks for blockchain-based financial products.
  • Interpret regulatory expectations (OCC, Federal Reserve, state regulators, and select global regulators) and translate them into actionable policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
  • Develop and document policies, procedures, RCSAs, and internal control artifacts for digital-asset activities.
  • Support regulatory exams, supervisory reviews, and remediation activities related to blockchain and digital assets.
  • Coordinate third-party vendor assessments, including custody providers, blockchain analytics platforms, transaction monitoring tools, and key management solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of reusable methodologies, templates, and reference architectures to support scalable delivery.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and practice development initiatives.
