About The Position

Chevron is seeking a highly skilled Digital Archivist to join our Chevron Heritage Center (CHC) team and maintain the Enterprise Digital Asset Management System (DAM). This position oversees digital asset storage, compliance with legal and corporate policies, user training, and system troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Library/Information Science Management or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience working as a digital asset management professional.
  • Knowledge of a variety of productivity applications, database systems, and graphic editors.
  • Ability to keep abreast of technology developments within the industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of archiving principles and practices governing digital media assets.
  • Subject matter expert in taxonomy, cataloging, metadata strategies and digital asset management best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a corporate setting.
  • Detail-oriented and reliable.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams across the enterprise.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Library/Information Science Management with a digital and corporate archives emphasis.
  • Experience working in Workfront, Adobe Suite, and Sitecore's Content Hub.

Responsibilities

  • Creates, maintains and prioritizes road maps for DAM growth and development.
  • Submits IT tickets and helps troubleshoot issues in the application.
  • Performs digital asset and user audits.
  • Manages user group creation and training of new DAM users throughout the company.
  • Ensures all digital media assets purchased or produced by Chevron are stored and tracked in compliance with partner agreements, relevant copyright laws and Chevron policies.
  • Develops taxonomies and metadata models for the DAM system and develops processes that allow Chevron to track usage rights, legal documentation, and retention schedules.
  • Acts as the digital asset management SME and provides digital archiving support to the enterprise.
  • Leads support efforts for the Chevron Heritage Center's digital storage needs, working with IT to troubleshoot and strategize for future growth.
  • Assists with internal and external customer service requests.
  • Purchases stock media for projects across the enterprise.
  • Works with Legal to review new stock vendors and acts as point of contact for current stock media vendors.
  • Tracks and reports KPIs to leadership.
  • Maintains and updates team's Policy & Procedure workflows.
  • Speaks and presents to internal and external stakeholders about the CHC and digital asset management at Chevron.
