As a Digital and Model-Based Systems Engineer, you will support the implementation of a DE strategy for our NAVSEA customer. You will work closely with working group leads, shipbuilders, and other program stakeholders to accomplish several tasks. You will support the development of a DE environment and federated model framework consisting of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and MBE models, digital requirements, digital threads, various modeling and simulation tools, and modeling standards and methods. Additionally, you will support the implementation of authoritative sources of truth concepts, including a digital artifacts structure, access and CM policies, PLM tool, and zero-trust architecture. You will also support the establishment of common engineering processes, policies, and tools across the program. You will support customer pilot projects for the integration of different model types via digital threads, enhancing the requirements development process, and ensuring traceability of models, requirements, digital documents, and data across the acquisition lifecycle. You will also be involved in developing reference architecture models, MBSE best practices across the program, conducting tool trade studies, and developing RDM process documents, training plans, Model Development Plans, and Model Management Plans. Furthermore, you will support the assessment of customer DE capability maturity and capability gaps, extract lessons learned, and develop metrics from each successive phase of the DE implementation. Finally, you will brainstorm possible solutions to DE implementation challenges with the program stakeholders.
