About The Position

You will develop and optimize databases, AI-driven user interfaces, and actionable analytics pipelines, enabling enhanced decision-making across vast amounts of technical and commercial data. This role focuses on identifying opportunities for process optimization in manufacturing systems, leveraging a combination of industrial connectivity technologies (Profinet/OPC-UA), Python-based automation tools, and applied Machine Learning (ML). You will work on projects that involve developing powerful knowledge management systems that link process development data, material signatures, and performance feedback, operationalizing LLM (Large Language Models) to streamline technical document retrieval and engineering workflows, innovating digital twin models for simulating and optimizing manufacturing processes, and implementing reinforcement learning concepts that drive robotics and automation efficiencies. You will play a pivotal role in our global digital ecosystem, continuously improving and scaling platforms that support both local and global manufacturing optimization efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Data Science or related field.
  • Exposure to industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Profinet/OPC-UA network protocols.
  • Experience with SQL databases and advanced data modeling.
  • Knowledge of automation workflows using Node-RED or equivalent tools.
  • Familiarity with Machine Learning techniques (e.g., Regression, Classification).

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Cloud Computing platforms, such as AWS IoT Hub or Azure.
  • Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) for log analysis and text processing.
  • Strong foundations in Deep Learning frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Background in data structures and algorithms for real-time manufacturing systems.
  • Exposure to Digital Twin technologies and reinforcement learning for robotics optimization.
