About The Position

The Digital Advertising Product Manager at Cox Communications is responsible for the lifecycle management of advertising products within the Cox Media portfolio. This role involves driving revenue through product enhancements, launching new products, and evaluating underperforming products. The position requires collaboration with various teams to ensure successful product implementation and market positioning, while also managing vendor relationships and internal stakeholder needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in B-to-B product/brand management or media/advertising sales management; 4+ years with a related advanced degree.
  • Demonstrated experience with Digital Media advertising products.
  • Experience working with DSPs such as DV360, Google Campaign Manager, Amazon, etc.
  • Strong ability to work across departmental boundaries to achieve common goals.
  • Proven ability to develop detailed work plans and execute under pressure.
  • Must be a team player and thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organization, detail, problem-solving, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain constructive partnerships with diverse groups.

Nice To Haves

  • BS/BA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in a management role or leading cross-functional projects.
  • 1+ years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Project management software experience.
  • DSP/SSP experience related to inventory negotiation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-departmental efforts to drive the success of assigned advertising products.
  • Partner with the Sales team to identify strategies for increasing market share and revenue.
  • Collaborate with Cox Media markets for product launches and enhancements, ensuring proper training and marketing collateral.
  • Align with the Marketing Center of Excellence to position product offerings based on data-driven research.
  • Work with third-party vendors and internal teams to implement fulfillment and billing practices.
  • Develop and maintain an operating plan and budget for assigned products in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Drive product enhancements in an agile development environment by developing requirements with technology teams.
  • Assist in developing business cases for product roadmap investments and identify opportunities for portfolio enhancement.
  • Evaluate programmatic inventory sources for optimization and revenue growth.
  • Lead partnerships and negotiations with new supply partners and publishers for additional inventory sources.
  • Interface with sales teams to provide subject matter expertise on products and client strategy.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure accountability and customer service.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with internal and external partners.
