Digital Ad Designer (Contractor)

Tiger TracksWinter Park, FL

About The Position

About the Role Tiger Tracks is a performance-driven creative agency looking for experienced contract Digital Ad Designers to join our production roster. You'll work project-by-project, receiving clearly scoped creative briefs and delivering polished, platform-ready ad assets across web and mobile formats. This is not a brand design role. We need designers who live and breathe digital advertising - who understand that a beautiful asset that's too heavy to serve efficiently or too polished to feel native isn't a good ad.

Requirements

  • 3+ years designing digital ad creative, specifically for web and mobile platforms, not just general graphic design.
  • A portfolio demonstrating ad creative across multiple formats and brands, with clear evidence of platform fluency.
  • Deep knowledge of platform ad specs: dimensions, file formats, file size limits, aspect ratios, animation restrictions.
  • Proficiency in Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects for animated assets).
  • Strong understanding of file weight and compression - you know the difference between an asset that looks good and one that actually serves.
  • Ability to work independently from a brief with minimal hand-holding, hitting deadlines without reminders.
  • Clear communication when something in a brief is unclear or undoable as scoped.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience producing motion/animated ad creative (GIF, HTML5, short-form video).
  • Familiarity with UGC-style ad production - making polished content feel native and unpolished.
  • Prior work at a performance marketing agency or in-house at a DTC brand.
  • Comfort with AI image tools for rapid concepting or asset generation (with human design judgment layered on top).

Responsibilities

  • Receive creative briefs, mood boards, and performance guidance from our Digital Project Manager and execute to spec.
  • Design ad assets across all standard digital formats: Meta (Feed, Stories, Reels), Google Display, TikTok, programmatic, and email.
  • Produce multiple size variations per concept - typically 8-15 sizes per batch - with consistent quality across all dimensions.
  • Deliver assets optimized for file weight and platform specs without sacrificing visual quality.
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback; most revision cycles are tight.
  • Design with conversion in mind, not just aesthetics. You should know why a lo-fi, UGC-style creative often outperforms a polished brand execution.
  • Understand the visual hierarchy principles that drive click-through: clear CTAs, legible copy at small sizes, thumb-stopping first frames.
  • Flag anything in a brief that you believe will underperform based on your experience, and offer an alternative direction.
