About the position

The Digital Activation Specialist at Lee Enterprises is responsible for supporting the activation and execution of digital campaigns across various platforms, including websites and email marketing. This role is crucial for ensuring the success of digital advertising initiatives by efficiently launching campaigns, monitoring their performance, and optimizing outcomes for clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in digital advertising and campaign management, with a strong focus on execution in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and launch digital advertising campaigns across owned and operated websites, email platforms, and additional ad products.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to ensure proper setup, including creative uploads, audience targeting, and placement scheduling.
  • Work across multiple platforms, including ad servers and email marketing tools, to ensure campaigns meet client specifications.
  • Set up and deploy email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, content integration, and A/B testing.
  • Monitor email performance metrics and implement strategies to enhance outcomes.
  • Monitor live campaigns across websites and email platforms to ensure delivery and performance meet client goals.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to ad delivery, email formatting, creative assets, and targeting.
  • Analyze campaign data from multiple sources and provide optimization recommendations.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for sales, account managers, and creative teams to gather campaign requirements.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve campaign issues and implement improvements.
  • Conduct rigorous QA checks to ensure campaigns adhere to client specifications and industry standards.
  • Verify proper tracking implementation and reporting accuracy for all campaigns.
  • Generate detailed performance reports across web, email, and other ad products; deliver actionable insights to drive success.
  • Maintain organized documentation and records of campaign details, changes, and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in digital advertising, email marketing, or campaign management.
  • Familiarity with ad servers (e.g., Google Ad Manager, Xandr), email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and analytics tools.
  • Deep understanding of digital advertising concepts, email marketing strategies, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience troubleshooting campaign issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools.
