About The Position

The Digital Accessibility Program Manager at UC Davis is responsible for overseeing the information technology accessibility program on campus. This role involves leading digital accessibility projects, ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements, and educating campus stakeholders about these requirements. The Program Manager will also convene the IT Accessibility Policy Advisory Committee and collaborate with campus partners to enhance the accessibility of technology resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training.
  • Project management experience for complex, high-impact projects.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to disability access.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Excellent speaking, writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience related to disability access in a higher education environment.
  • Knowledge of campus administrative structure and functions, policies, procedures, and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the information technology accessibility program for UC Davis.
  • Lead and manage digital accessibility projects with campus-wide impact.
  • Review and understand legal and policy requirements for digital accessibility.
  • Educate campus constituents about digital accessibility requirements.
  • Convene the IT Accessibility Policy Advisory Committee.
  • Engage with relevant campus partners to ensure compliance with laws and UC Policy.
