About The Position

Under the supervision of the Family Resource Center (FRC) Director, the Differential Response Liaison (DRL) is responsible for ensuring that clients of the Family Resource Center receive comprehensive case management services both within the FRC and in the community as necessary. This position focuses on delivering services to families, requiring the DRL to engage with families at risk of abuse, neglect, or out-of-home placement, and to provide information about available community resources that can support their needs.

Requirements

  • 21+ years old
  • AA degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in case management
  • Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and occasional weekends
  • Experience working with diverse populations and community-based agencies (HSA, DCYF)
  • Experience with client interviewing, assessment, and service plan development
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with computers and Office 365 and documentation
  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish
  • Access to reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care and Conflict Resolution
  • Familiarity with the Western Addition community

Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake and screening, provide relevant information, materials, or referrals, and open cases as necessary.
  • Provide direct services in partnership with CPS to families referred through Path 2.
  • Engage with clients regularly to assess their needs, provide support, and tailor services to meet individual family goals.
  • Offer guidance on accessing community resources.
  • Assist with transferring cases to FRC staff or other community-based organizations (CBOs).
  • Work closely with schools, law enforcement, and other community agencies to ensure clients receive comprehensive services.
  • Attend Red Team meetings and collaborate with CPS.
  • Input and maintain accurate client data, ensuring documentation is timely and meets program requirements.
  • Monitor client progress and report on outcomes.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality procedures in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current on best practices and program updates.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of program effectiveness and continuous improvement efforts.
