About The Position
Dietitian Per Diem Days Position Summary Provides clinical nutrition support services to patients through Food Service. Monitors nutritional care, manages physician ordered therapeutic diets and provides nutritional education to patients. Directs, supervises and coordinates diet office activities. Processes information generated from patient, medical records, nursing and ancillary staff for utilization in the accurate identification, assessment and evaluation of the patient's nutritional needs. SPECIAL SKILLS: Must be able to effectively communicate. Excellent customer service skills.
Requirements
- MINIMUM EDUCATION: B.S. degree from an accredited college or university with a major in food, nutrition, or institutional management and any additional education as required by the American Dietetic Association.
- REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Registered or Registration eligible with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics. Must obtain registration within 6 months.
- REQUIRED COURSE(S) TRAINING: An unexpired Maricopa County Food Handler Care; or a valid card or certificate issued by an ANSI-accredited food handler training program; or a valid food handler card or certificate issued by another county within Arizona.
- Experience: At least 1 year of acute care experience
- Must be able to effectively communicate.
- Excellent customer service skills.
