About The Position
Turning Point is currently seeking a licensed Dietitian for on-site PRN work that is vital to the successful operation of our behavioral health facility. The dietitian is responsible for the nutritional care, treatment, rehabilitation, and education to patients based on patient assessments of needs, conditions, impairments, disabilities, and age. Collaborates with Clinical Services and other departments to accomplish the treatment goals of Turning Point. Turning Point Care Center has provided a place of healing and hope to adults who suffer from behavioral health disorders and/or substance abuse. We are committed to providing quality behavioral health care through our inpatient and outpatient gender specific programs in Moultrie, GA. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics/Nutrition or related field required.
- Licensed by the State of Georgia
- Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics)
- Must work well both independently and as part of interdisciplinary team.
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years of experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferred.
- Experience working with Substance Abuse/Behavioral Health patients preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and/or completes nutritional screens and assessments, formulating dietary plan with consideration of age and culturally specific nutritional needs.
- Orients patients to dietary goals and policies.
- Provides group and individual nutrition education.
