UHS provides ambulatory medical care, mental health services, and public health/wellbeing programs to a campus of nearly 23,000 students with the majority of students being between ages 18 and 25. This position’s primary function is to serve as the dietitian for the University Health Services, which has the following focus areas: 1) Direct nutrition services to and patient care of students; 2) Consultations and interdisciplinary collaboration with medical and mental health colleagues including participation on the eating disorder care coordination team and education/training to staff; 3) Outreach and education programs through the Public Health and Wellbeing team to develop and implement campus-wide nutrition/weight-neutral/body positivity education programs and educational materials. The dietitian approaches these topics with a trauma-informed, weight-neutral, body-positive approach. This position is an academic year (9-month basis) position that is shared by two departments; 80% will be dedicated to the UHS Medical Staff and 20% will be dedicated to the Public Health Practices team. The dietitian reports to the Medical Director. This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and routine screening of Medicaid and Medicare Exclusion Lists. Employee loses eligibility for employment if on the List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) and/or System of Award Management (SAM). In addition, employee must follow Compliance with UHS policies regarding tuberculosis screening, measles and mumps (MMR), seasonal flu, hepatitis B, and other immunization requirements.
