Job Purpose: Responsible for patient consultation and nutritional education. Responsible for approving patient menus. Is a part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare workers. Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to prioritize tasks, handles compliance issues first. Able to work under tight project deadlines, handles stress appropriately. Demonstrates an ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations. Demonstrates excellent conflict resolution skills; especially the ability to deescalate situations in an empathetic, equitable and professional manner. Ability to maintain control and respond calmly and appropriately in a crisis situation. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to set appropriate professional boundaries and avoids entering into dual relationships. Demonstrates basic understanding of the disease concept of addiction and the 12 Step Program. Prioritizes required tasks and work responsibilities to ensure optimum quality of care. Understands compliance as it relates to the facilities licensing entities.
