This role requires a minimum availability of 20 hours per week, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position as the company continues to scale. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) to join our expanding team. This is a flexible, remote 1099 opportunity ideal for RDs with experience in functional nutrition, chronic disease management, and a proactive, patient-centered approach to care.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential with current certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and functional nutrition practices.
  • Experience with at least 3 of the specialty areas listed above.
  • Familiarity with common nutritional supplements and ability to make evidence-based recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
  • Technological proficiency with telehealth platforms, EHR systems, and digital tools.
  • Alignment with holistic, functional, and evidence-based principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior telehealth experience with diverse patient populations.
  • Experience supporting clients using GLP-1 medications.
  • Additional training or certification in functional/integrative nutrition (e.g., IFNCP, CFMP).
  • Willingness to grow into a full-time role as the company scales.
  • Licensure in Florida, New York, and Texas is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one telehealth consultations to assess nutritional status and develop individualized plans.
  • Provide expert guidance on imbalanced nutrition, sustainable weight management, and long-term wellness.
  • Support patients with a range of health concerns, including (but not limited to): - Hormonal imbalances - Menopause and midlife health - Gut health (e.g., IBS, GERD, SIBO) - Eating disorders - Autoimmune conditions - Metabolic dysfunction - Cardiovascular health - Diabetes & CKD - Thyroid conditions - Food allergies - Sports nutrition
  • Functional lab interpretation (e.g., GI panels, hormones, micronutrients)
  • Develop personalized protocols and supplement recommendations aligned with patient goals.
  • Educate patients using Shapely’s proprietary templates and create custom resources as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with Shapely’s interdisciplinary care team (MDs, NPs, and Patient Support team) to deliver integrated care.
  • Accurately document all patient encounters, progress, and care plans in our EHR system.
